Luke Otto is the Owner and Lead Instructor of Otto Performance Studio and the Vocal Coach at Chippewa Falls High School. For more than 14 years, Luke has had the privilege of teaching and mentoring nearly 1,000 musicians and actors, helping students discover their voices, build confidence, and pursue their goals in music and performance.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. His students have gone on to pursue professional careers as actors in theatre and commercials, as well as singers and musicians in a wide range of genres, including Jazz, Opera, Musical Theatre, Rock/Pop, and Country music. Watching students grow from curious beginners into confident performers—and, for some, into working professionals—is one of the most rewarding parts of his career.

Luke’s love of theatre began with a school production of The Wizard of Oz, where he played the Tin Man alongside his sister as the Cowardly Lion. His theatre journey has continued through a variety of experiences, most recently as Music Director for community shows in the Chippewa Valley.

Luke is proud to serve as President of River Theatre Co. because he believes theatre can be a gathering place for an entire community—a place where people of different backgrounds, experiences, and talents can come together to create something meaningful. He is especially excited to help build a company that not only produces high-quality, iconic productions, but also creates opportunities for local artists, welcomes new voices, and builds lasting connections throughout the community. Luke hopes River Theatre Co. can be a catalyst for collaboration among individuals, and community organizations, while creating memorable experiences that make people proud to call the Chippewa Valley home.

For Luke, the best part of theatre is the people—sharing the excitement and occasional chaos with his wife, Kaysee, and their sons, Lee and Rhys, while watching others grow in confidence, ability, and love for the arts. The relationships and memories made along the way are what make theatre so special to him.
